Prevent a skin fright this Halloween with Eminence masks

Heading out to a Halloween party this weekend? Here are a few quick tips to stop you waking up to frightful skin the morning after.

Double bubble toil and cleanse

If you’re going out and wearing heavy make-up, skin wipes or one pass with the cleanser may not be enough to remove deep down dirt from your face. Most Halloween make up or face paint is heavy on oils and pigments which can require a much deeper cleansing routine than normal. I recommend cleansing once to take make-up off and cleansing again to give your skin a deeper clean and make sure those last traces of vampire make-up vanish before sunrise.

Treat, don’t trick, your skin

Pumpkins aren’t only good for jack-o’-lanterns. Pumpkin can provide fantastic nutrients for the skin which is why Eminence use it in their fabulous Hydration Masque. The video below combines the Pumpkin Latte Masque with the Chocolate Mousse Hydration Masque (Halloween is for sweet treats after all) to refresh, hydrate and revitalise your skin.

Soothe scary skin with a calming moisturiser

As Halloween make up can be harsh on skin, finish off your ghoulish evening with a calming moisturiser to minimise the risk of irritation and flare ups. I recommend the Calm Skin Camomile Moisturiser from Eminence to help ensure the only scary face in the morning will be on the shop-bought masks discarded on the floor!

And if you need a little more help to banish the Halloween frights?

My personal favourite and must-have product is the Yam and Pumpkin Enzyme Peel. Amazing for sensitive skin (and post-horror make up) this exfoliant is a little extra boost to refresh and care for you skin. Read more about it here.
